As the political temperature is rising ahead of crucial assembly polls in Punjab, AAP’s desperation is rising too. Right after the general elections in 2014, the rookie party, AAP has been nurturing the dream of winning state elections in Punjab and now, it is leaving no stone unturned in run-up to elections.
Displaying the height of desperation, AAP inducted a murderous attack survivor, assaulter and an eyewitness to the crime – all three of them into party fold. Fearing the repercussion only later in the day that AAP, in a damage control move, expelled the convict.
AAP finally managed to induct Bant Singh Jhabbar, who had lost his arms and a leg in a deadly assault. Not only Bant Singh, but his assaulter Navdeep Singh, a local Congress leader and Jat Mahasabha general secretary, as well as eyewitness Surjit Singh, now a panchayat member have also joined AAP today.
Ironically, both had been behind the bars in the assault case and are presently out on bail. Recently, AAP had decided to honour him in Delhi, which he had refused saying that he would not accept money from any party.
AAP Punjab affairs in charge Sanjay Singh inducted trio into party fold in a public function at Mansa where he had gone to meet the traders.
